INDIAN SUMMER

Artworks

Born in Sweden, Mia Berg grew up in East Hampton, New York. Informed by the artistic past and present of the Hamptons as well as her Scandinavian heritage, Berg's work explores the place of the human figure in the context of the natural landscape. Enacting a physical conversation with nature, Berg incorporates her body into her compositions as an extension of her environment, invoking a dialogue on human coexistence with the natural world. A hand bound, signed artist book in a limited edition of 100 accompanies her current body of work. Berg received a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design in 2007 and currently works and resides in Brooklyn and Springs, NY.
